Bill Knight
Bill Knight is a contemporary artist fascinated by the complementary contrasts in life — which he expresses in dynamic dichotomies of bold colors, diverse textures, and varied themes.
A native of Massachusetts, Bill now makes his home in scenic Avon, Connecticut. Bill studied at Paier College of Art, where he had the privilege of learning from an impressive array of master artists, including the tromp l’oeil master Robert Zappalorti and classic realist Paul Lipp.
After putting his conceptual abilities to work for several leading ad agencies, Bill founded his own design firm with wife/partner, Jill Adams. Over the past 30 years, Adams & Knight has grown to be one of New England’s leading marketing agencies.
Throughout Bill’s career, his work for regional, national and global clients has received numerous honors, including New York One Show and Boston Hatch awards, and has been featured in Communication Arts. He was recently named to the Connecticut Hall of Fame for advertising creatives.
While Bill has enjoyed commercial design, he is thrilled to be refocusing on his passion for painting. His work can be found in private collections and was most recently featured in a show at the New Britain Museum of American Art, Attleborough Art Museum, Cato Institute, Lyme Art Association, Mattatuck Museum and the Barrett Art Center.
